Amora AI Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 September 2026

The short version

Amora starts without sign-up, so we hold as little about you as possible. We store an anonymous session identifier, the conversations you have, the short factual memories your companion keeps, the images and clips you generate, and a daily usage counter. If you create a free account — which you are asked to do after five messages — we also store the identifier your Manus account gives us, your display name and your email address. We do not sell data, we do not use your conversations to train third-party models, and we do not run advertising trackers. You can delete memories in the app, and you can request deletion of everything else by asking us.

1. Who is responsible

Amora AI is operated as a free public beta. The operating entity details, registered address and a named data-protection contact will be published on this page before the service begins charging for access. Until then, all privacy requests are handled through the contact page.

2. What we store

  • Session identifier. A randomly generated identifier, in an httpOnly cookie, that links your conversations to you. It contains no personal information and is not shared with anyone.
  • Your messages and the companion's replies. Stored so a conversation can continue across sessions.
  • Extracted memories. Short factual notes such as a name, a pet, a job or a preference that you mentioned, used to make later conversations feel continuous. These are visible in the app and individually deletable. Our extraction step is instructed to ignore health, sexual and financial details entirely.
  • Generated media. Images and video clips you create, and the prompt you used to create them, stored so you can return to your gallery.
  • Usage counters. Daily counts of messages, images and clips, used to apply the free allowances.
  • Custom companions. The specification you wrote for a companion you created, including any portrait generated for her.
  • Contact messages. If you write to us, we keep your name, reply address, chosen topic and message so we can answer.

3. What we do not collect

  • No name, email address or phone number, unless you create an account (in which case we hold the display name and email address your Manus account provides) or send them to us in a contact message.
  • No payment details: the beta does not take payments.
  • No advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics trackers, no social pixels.
  • No precise location, no contact list, no device fingerprinting beyond what is necessary to serve a page.
  • No audio recordings: a voice note you record is transcribed and the audio itself is not retained.

4. Why we are allowed to hold it

We process this data to perform the service you are using (storing a conversation so you can continue it), to pursue our legitimate interest in keeping the platform safe and available (usage limits, abuse prevention), and, where you have asked us to respond, on the basis of your request. We take no payment details at any point during the beta, so we hold nothing for billing or tax purposes. Where you have created an account, the display name and email address we receive are processed to identify that account and are used for nothing else.

5. Who else sees it

To generate a reply or an image, your message and the companion's context are sent to the model services that power Amora, under contract and only for the purpose of producing that output. Generated media and messages are held in our own storage and database. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers or analytics vendors, and we do not sell it.

6. How long we keep it

Conversations, memories, custom companions and generated media are kept for as long as your session is active, so that returning to Amora feels like returning. Usage counters are retained for a rolling window only. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any follow-up.

7. Your controls

  • Delete any individual memory in the app, permanently and immediately.
  • Delete generated media from your gallery.
  • Request deletion of your entire session by writing to us and selecting the privacy topic. We will confirm when it is done.
  • Clear your browser cookies to end the link between you and a session immediately, though the stored data remains until deletion is requested.

8. Security

Access to the production database and to the media storage account is restricted to the people operating the service, and traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect; if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will say so on this site and describe what was affected.

9. Children

Amora is for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, an 18+ confirmation is required before the core features unlock, and we do not knowingly store data relating to children. If you believe a minor has used the service, tell us and we will delete the associated session.

10. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change, and the date at the top will change with it. If a change materially affects what we store, we will say so clearly rather than quietly editing a clause.

11. Contact

Privacy questions and deletion requests go through the contact page. Please choose the privacy topic so they are routed correctly.
