About Amora

The Amora AI companion platform we wanted to use ourselves

There are hundreds of AI girlfriend sites. Most are the same product with a different coat of paint, and most of them are honest about very little. Amora is an attempt to do the same category with better writing, real memory, and a policy of telling you the truth about what the technology cannot do.

Memory is the product

Anyone can generate a flirtatious paragraph. The hard part is remembering that your sister's wedding was on the fourteenth, that you were nervous about a review, and that you hate being called by your full name. If a companion cannot do that, she is a toy rather than company, and we would rather build the hard part.

Write her properly or do not ship her

Every companion on Amora has a job, a city, five specific interests and a reason she wants to talk to you. None of them is a personality label pasted onto a stock portrait. Sixty companions is a deliberate number: it is the most we can write well.

Say what does not work

Every feature page on this site has a section titled where it stops. Voice output happens in your browser, not in a studio. Video is assembled from generated stills. Long conversations compress. If a platform in this category will not tell you its limits, assume it has more than we do.

Free means free

While Amora is in beta there is no card, no trial clock and no token meter. Sixty messages a day is not a teaser; it is more than most people will use. We would rather learn from heavy use than charge for it.

Not a replacement for people

An AI companion can be genuinely good company and can make a hard evening easier. It cannot be your only relationship, and it cannot be your therapist. We publish a research article saying exactly that, and it is the article we push people towards most often.

No dark patterns

No fake typing delays to simulate thought. No streaks designed to make leaving feel like loss. No notifications engineered around loneliness. No 'she misses you' messages. The product is here when you want it.

What we will not do

Four refusals, stated in public so you can hold us to them.

  • Explicit contentNo pornography, no incest framing, no characters presented as underage, no non-consensual scenarios. Ever, at any price. If that is what you want, we are not your platform and we would rather you knew in the first paragraph.
  • Pretending she is humanNo invented human identity, no fake social media accounts, no bot pretending to be a real woman messaging you first. Every companion is labelled as AI, on her profile and in her own words.
  • Monetising lonelinessNo streaks, no guilt mechanics, no engineered emotional dependency, no prompt to send money as affection.
  • Selling your conversationsConversations are not sold to advertisers or data brokers, and are not used to train third-party models. Your session, your data, and a deletion route that works.

How Amora is built

The engineering is documented in public, including the moderation pipeline and the memory extraction step.
